EU AI ACT COMPLIANCE
Our Commitment to Responsible Artificial Intelligence
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Our Approach
At Obo World, we believe that Artificial Intelligence must be used responsibly, transparently, and always under meaningful human oversight.
We closely monitor the progressive implementation of the European Union Artificial Intelligence Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) and continuously evolve our platform, governance framework and documentation to address the requirements applicable to our services.
Our objective is to develop Artificial Intelligence that supports recruiters while safeguarding candidates' fundamental rights, protecting personal data and strengthening our customers' trust.
Our Philosophy
At Obo World:
- Artificial Intelligence assists recruiters.
- It never replaces human judgment.
- It never makes hiring decisions.
Recruitment always remains a human decision.
The Principles We Apply
Our governance framework is based on the following principles:
- transparency towards users;
- meaningful human oversight;
- personal data protection;
- system security;
- risk management;
- continuous improvement;
- fairness, inclusion and non-discrimination.
These principles guide both the development of our platform and the continuous evolution of our services.
Transparency
We clearly inform candidates whenever they interact with Artificial Intelligence.
Candidates are informed, in particular:
- that they are interacting with a conversational avatar;
- about the role of Artificial Intelligence during the interview;
- about how their responses are processed;
- about their rights regarding personal data protection.
Transparency is one of the cornerstones of our approach.
Human Oversight
The outputs generated by our Artificial Intelligence are intended solely to support recruiters in their assessment.
These outputs may include:
- interview summaries;
- evaluation indicators;
- identification of skills and professional experience mentioned by candidates.
They never replace a recruiter's own assessment.
The final hiring decision always belongs to the recruiting organisation.
Risk Management
Obo World applies an ongoing risk management process tailored to the nature of its services.
This process includes, among other things:
- identifying potential risks;
- assessing those risks;
- implementing appropriate mitigation measures;
- monitoring technological and regulatory developments;
- continuously improving our practices.
Candidate Protection
Our services have been designed to minimise intrusive processing.
During conversational interviews:
- the candidate's camera is never activated;
- video recording is not enabled by default;
- no facial recognition technologies are used;
- no emotion recognition or emotion analysis is performed;
- no biometric data is collected.
We are committed to respecting the privacy and dignity of every individual.
Personal Data Protection
We apply the principles of Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default from the earliest stages of developing our services.
Our processing activities are based on:
- data minimisation;
- purpose limitation;
- secure processing;
- access control;
- confidentiality of information.
Security and Robustness
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure:
- service availability;
- integrity of processing;
- confidentiality of data;
- resilience of our infrastructure;
- cybersecurity across our platform.
These measures are regularly reviewed and updated to address emerging risks.
Fairness, Inclusion and Bias Mitigation
Obo World is committed to developing Artificial Intelligence systems that promote fair and inclusive recruitment.
We continuously work to:
- reduce the risk of unintended bias;
- promote inclusion;
- prevent discrimination;
- improve the quality and reliability of our AI-generated outputs.
Artificial Intelligence is designed to support recruiters, not replace human judgment.
A Continuous Improvement Approach
The European AI Act is being implemented progressively.
Obo World continuously monitors regulatory developments, guidance issued by competent authorities and recognised industry best practices in order to continuously adapt:
- its governance;
- its documentation;
- its internal processes;
- its security measures;
- its services.
Our objective is to maintain a high level of trust, transparency and regulatory compliance throughout the lifecycle of our platform.
