INTRODUCTION
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern access to and use of the Obo World website and the technology platform operated by OBO WORLD SAS.
Obo World develops an artificial intelligence-powered recruitment platform designed to help organizations streamline and optimize their recruitment processes through candidate sourcing, conversational interviews, application analysis and decision-support tools.
Obo World's solutions are designed solely to assist recruiters throughout the recruitment process. They do not replace human judgment and never make hiring decisions on behalf of Customers or recruiting organizations.
These Terms define the respective rights and obligations of Users when accessing or using the Website and the Platform.
Additional documents may apply depending on the Services used, including:
- the Privacy Policy;
- the Cookie Policy;
- the Interview Participation Terms;
- the Responsible AI Governance Policy;
- any contractual terms applicable to Customers.
In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and a service-specific document, the latter shall prevail with respect to the relevant Service.
1. DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of these Terms:
"Obo World" means OBO WORLD SAS, the company that owns and operates the Website and the Platform.
"Website" means the corporate website available at https://www.obo-world.com, together with all associated content.
"Platform" means the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution developed and operated by Obo World for managing AI-assisted recruitment processes.
"Services" means all current and future services, features and functionalities made available by Obo World.
"User" means any individual accessing or using the Website or the Platform, including visitors, Candidates, recruiters, Customers and authorized administrators.
"Customer" means any legal entity using the Platform for recruitment purposes.
"Candidate" means any individual invited by a Customer to participate in a recruitment process through the Platform.
"Account" means the secure personal account providing access to specific Platform functionalities.
"Conversational Interview" means a real-time exchange between a Candidate and a virtual conversational agent.
A Conversational Interview:
- is not a video conference;
- never requires the Candidate's camera to be activated;
- allows Candidates to respond in writing, verbally, or through a combination of both methods, depending on the Customer's configuration.
"Conversational Avatar" means the animated digital representation used by Obo World to conduct a Conversational Interview.
"Artificial Intelligence (AI)" means the technologies implemented by Obo World to assist recruiters in reviewing and evaluating applications.
2. PURPOSE
These Terms govern access to and use of:
- the Website;
- the Platform;
- all Services provided by Obo World.
In particular, these Terms define:
- the conditions governing access to the Services;
- the rights and obligations of Users;
- the conditions governing the use of artificial intelligence technologies;
- the respective responsibilities of Users and Obo World.

4. SCOPE
These Terms apply to every person accessing or using the Website or the Platform.
They apply in particular to:
- Website visitors;
- Candidates;
- Customers;
- recruiters;
- authorized administrators.
Any access to or use of the Website or the Platform constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
5. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS
Access to the Website constitutes acceptance of these Terms.
Where certain Services require authentication, a personal invitation or specific validation, Users may be required to expressly accept these Terms before accessing the relevant Service.
Candidates participating in a Conversational Interview may also be required to acknowledge and accept the applicable Interview Participation Terms and Privacy Policy before beginning their interview.
If a User does not agree to these Terms, they must immediately discontinue use of the Website, the Platform and the Services provided by Obo World.
6. DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES
Obo World develops and operates an AI-powered recruitment platform designed for businesses, recruitment agencies, public organizations, non-profit organizations and any entity seeking to improve and streamline its recruitment processes.
Depending on the Services subscribed to or made available, the Platform may include, among others:
- presentation of Obo World solutions;
- publication and management of job opportunities;
- collection and management of applications;
- organization of Conversational Interviews conducted by a virtual conversational agent;
- AI-assisted analysis of Candidate responses;
- generation of summaries, reports, recommendations and decision-support indicators;
- secure workspaces dedicated to Customers and recruiters;
- reporting, monitoring and recruitment campaign management tools;
- any additional functionality developed by Obo World in the future.
The Services may evolve at any time to reflect technological developments, regulatory changes, Customer needs or improvements made to the Platform.
Subject to its contractual commitments, Obo World reserves the right to add, modify, suspend or discontinue any feature or functionality of the Services.
7. ACCESS TO THE WEBSITE
The Website is available free of charge to anyone with Internet access.
Users remain solely responsible for:
- their computer equipment;
- their Internet connection;
- any fees charged by their Internet service provider;
- the proper functioning of their devices;
- the security of their own IT environment.
Obo World uses commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that the Website remains accessible.
However, Obo World does not guarantee uninterrupted, continuous or error-free access.
Access to the Website may be temporarily suspended for reasons including:
- maintenance operations;
- software updates;
- security measures;
- technical incidents;
- operations carried out by third-party service providers;
- events of force majeure.
Such interruptions shall not give rise to any liability on the part of Obo World.
8. ACCESS TO THE PLATFORM
Certain Platform functionalities are restricted to authorized Users.
Access may require:
- creation of an Account;
- a personal invitation;
- secure authentication;
- prior subscription to a Service;
- any other verification procedure implemented by Obo World.
Login credentials are personal and confidential.
They may not be transferred, shared or disclosed to third parties.
Each User remains solely responsible for all activities carried out through their Account.
Obo World may immediately suspend access where it reasonably believes that such suspension is necessary to protect:
- the security of the Platform;
- the confidentiality of data;
- compliance with these Terms;
- the legitimate interests of Obo World or its Customers.
9. USER ACCOUNTS
Where an Account is required, Users represent and warrant that the information provided is accurate, complete and up to date.
Users agree to keep their Account information current throughout their use of the Services.
Each User is responsible for:
- maintaining the confidentiality of their password;
- protecting their login credentials;
- all activities carried out through their Account.
Any suspected unauthorized or fraudulent use of an Account must be reported to Obo World without undue delay.
Obo World may implement any security measure it considers appropriate, including:
- enhanced authentication mechanisms;
- password resets;
- temporary suspension of an Account;
- identity verification procedures.
10. GENERAL USER OBLIGATIONS
Users agree to access and use the Website and the Platform in good faith, responsibly, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
In particular, Users agree to:
- provide accurate, complete and truthful information;
- respect the rights of other Users;
- respect Obo World's intellectual property rights;
- use the Services solely for their intended purpose;
- comply with all applicable laws relating to recruitment, equal opportunity, non-discrimination and the protection of personal data.
Customers remain solely responsible for:
- the job postings they publish;
- the selection criteria they define;
- all hiring decisions;
- compliance with their legal obligations as employers.
Users shall refrain from any activity that may:
- damage Obo World's reputation;
- disrupt the operation or security of the Platform;
- infringe the rights of third parties.
11. PROHIBITED USE
Users shall not, directly or indirectly:
- use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
- publish or transmit unlawful, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, hateful or otherwise inappropriate content;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to any information system;
- introduce viruses, malware, Trojan horses or any other malicious software;
- circumvent or interfere with the Platform's security measures;
- extract substantial amounts of data from the Platform without authorization;
- use robots, bots, scripts, crawlers or other automated means without Obo World's prior written authorization;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to discover the source code or internal functioning of the Platform, except where expressly permitted by applicable law;
- infringe Obo World's intellectual property rights.
Any breach of this Article may result in the immediate suspension of access to the Platform, without prejudice to any other rights or remedies available to Obo World.
12. USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Obo World incorporates Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies designed to assist organizations throughout certain stages of their recruitment processes.
These technologies may, among other things:
- conduct Conversational Interviews with Candidates;
- analyze Candidate responses;
- identify certain skills, qualifications or professional experience mentioned by Candidates;
- generate candidate summaries;
- produce decision-support indicators or scoring models;
- assist recruiters throughout the recruitment process.
Outputs generated by Obo World's AI systems are intended solely as decision-support tools.
They do not constitute automated hiring decisions.
Customers remain solely responsible for:
- reviewing applications;
- communicating with Candidates;
- deciding whether to continue a recruitment process;
- making any hiring or rejection decision.
Users acknowledge that AI systems are subject to inherent technological limitations.
Obo World continuously seeks to improve the quality, relevance and reliability of its Services through reasonable technical and organizational measures.

13. CONVERSATIONAL INTERVIEWS
For certain recruitment processes, Candidates may be invited to participate in a Conversational Interview through a secure link sent by email.
The interview is conducted in real time using a Conversational Avatar developed or operated by Obo World.
Users expressly acknowledge that:
- the interview is not a video conference;
- the Candidate's camera is never activated during the normal operation of the Service;
- the Candidate is not filmed;
- no image of the Candidate is captured, analyzed or recorded by Obo World;
- Obo World does not use facial recognition technologies;
- Obo World does not perform biometric analysis;
- Obo World does not analyze emotions, facial expressions or non-verbal behaviour.
Depending on the Customer's configuration, Candidates may respond:
- in writing;
- verbally;
- or through a combination of both methods.
Responses may be analyzed solely for the purpose of generating summaries and decision-support indicators intended for the relevant recruiter.
Unless expressly stated otherwise before the interview begins, Conversational Interviews are not recorded in their entirety.
14. TRANSPARENCY TOWARDS USERS
Obo World is committed to ensuring that Users are informed whenever they interact with an Artificial Intelligence system.
Users are informed, in particular:
- that they are interacting with a virtual conversational agent;
- of the role played by Artificial Intelligence in processing their responses;
- that AI-generated outputs are intended solely as decision-support tools;
- that every hiring decision remains subject to meaningful human involvement.
Users are encouraged to consult the Responsible AI Governance Policy for further information regarding the operation, governance and principles applicable to Obo World's AI technologies.
15. NO AUTOMATED DECISION-MAKING
The Services provided by Obo World are not intended to replace human judgment.
The outputs generated by the Platform must never be used as the sole basis for making a recruitment decision.
Customers undertake to ensure meaningful human review throughout their recruitment processes and remain solely responsible for all hiring decisions.
16. SERVICE AVAILABILITY
Obo World uses commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the availability of the Platform.
However, Users acknowledge that the Services may be temporarily unavailable due to, among other things:
- scheduled maintenance;
- software updates;
- technical incidents;
- security operations;
- events of force majeure;
- failures affecting telecommunications networks;
- interruptions attributable to third-party service providers.
Obo World does not guarantee uninterrupted or continuous availability of the Services.
17. MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE EVOLUTION
To ensure the security, performance and regulatory compliance of the Platform, Obo World may, at any time:
- perform maintenance operations;
- correct software defects;
- deploy security updates;
- introduce functional enhancements;
- improve the user experience.
Whenever reasonably practicable, scheduled maintenance likely to have a significant impact on the Services will be communicated in advance.
Emergency maintenance may be carried out without prior notice where necessary to protect the security of the Platform or the data processed through it.
18. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND PROVIDERS
The operation of the Platform may rely on third-party services, infrastructure or software solutions.
Such third-party providers may, among other things, be involved in:
- data hosting;
- cloud infrastructure;
- email delivery services;
- technical services required for the operation of the Platform.
Obo World carefully selects its third-party providers.
However, subject to applicable law, Obo World shall not be liable for interruptions, service outages or malfunctions solely attributable to such third-party providers.
Where applicable, Users remain subject to the terms and conditions governing any third-party services they access through or in connection with the Platform.
19. PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION
Obo World places great importance on the protection of personal data and processes such data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR), the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertés), and any other applicable legislation.
The processing of personal data carried out by Obo World is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of the contractual framework governing the Platform.
Users are encouraged to consult the Privacy Policy to learn more about:
- the categories of personal data collected;
- the purposes of the processing activities;
- the applicable legal bases;
- the recipients of the data;
- applicable retention periods;
- their rights;
- how those rights may be exercised.
20. SECURITY OF DATA AND SYSTEMS
Obo World implements appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risks associated with the processing activities carried out through the Platform.
These measures are intended, in particular, to preserve:
- the confidentiality of data;
- its integrity;
- its availability;
- the resilience of systems;
- the security of the underlying technical infrastructure.
Security measures are reviewed and updated on a regular basis to reflect:
- technological developments;
- emerging cybersecurity threats;
- recommendations issued by competent authorities;
- changes in the risk landscape.
Users also contribute to the security of the Platform by protecting their login credentials and promptly reporting any suspected security incident or suspicious activity.
21. CONFIDENTIALITY
Users agree to preserve the confidentiality of any information to which they may gain access through their use of the Services.
Customers undertake, in particular, to preserve the confidentiality of Candidate information and to comply with their own legal obligations relating to data protection, confidentiality and trade secrets.
Obo World implements reasonable measures designed to safeguard the confidentiality of the information entrusted to it, subject to any legal or regulatory obligations requiring disclosure.
22. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
The Website, the Platform and all their components are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and international treaties.
This protection includes, without limitation:
- software;
- source code and software developments;
- user interfaces;
- databases;
- written content;
- illustrations;
- videos;
- graphic elements;
- logos;
- trademarks;
- domain names;
- algorithms;
- methodologies;
- Artificial Intelligence models developed or operated by Obo World;
- Conversational Avatars;
- technical documentation;
- all original content made available through the Platform.
Nothing in these Terms shall be construed as transferring any intellectual property rights to any User.
Users are granted solely a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and use the Platform in accordance with these Terms or any applicable agreement concluded with Obo World.
Any reproduction, distribution, adaptation, translation, extraction, commercialization or other exploitation, in whole or in part, without Obo World's prior written authorization is strictly prohibited.
23. RIGHTS TO USER CONTENT
Users retain ownership of all content they submit through the Platform.
Users represent and warrant that they possess all rights, permissions and authorizations necessary to submit and use such content.
To enable Obo World to provide the Services, Users grant Obo World a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license, limited to the duration necessary for the performance of the Services, allowing Obo World to:
- host such content;
- make technical reproductions;
- process the content;
- display it where necessary;
- transmit it to authorized persons;
- analyze it solely for the purposes of providing the subscribed Services.
This license automatically terminates in accordance with the retention periods defined in the Privacy Policy and any applicable legal retention obligations.
24. DATABASE RIGHTS
The databases created, developed or operated by Obo World are protected under applicable intellectual property laws, including the rights granted to database creators and producers.
Users shall not:
- extract all or a substantial part of such databases;
- perform repeated or systematic unauthorized extractions;
- reuse any data for commercial purposes without Obo World's prior written authorization.
Any breach of this Article may give rise to legal proceedings and any remedies available under applicable law.
25. EVIDENCE
Computer records, system logs, timestamps, technical records, usage histories and electronic records maintained by Obo World shall constitute admissible evidence, unless proven otherwise.
Such records may be relied upon in the context of administrative, judicial or alternative dispute resolution proceedings, subject to applicable law.
26. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
Users agree that communications relating to the use of the Services may be provided electronically.
Notifications, security alerts, information notices, updates to these Terms and any other communications may be delivered:
- by email;
- through the User Account or Platform interface;
- or by any other appropriate electronic means.
Subject to applicable mandatory legal requirements, such electronic communications shall have the same legal effect as communications made in paper form.
27. USER RESPONSIBILITY
Each User remains solely responsible for their use of the Website, the Platform and the Services.
Users represent and warrant that:
- the information they provide is accurate and up to date;
- any documents or materials they upload may be lawfully used;
- they possess all rights and authorizations required in relation to the content they submit.
Users remain responsible for all activities carried out through their login credentials or User Account.
28. CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY
Customers remain solely responsible for:
- their recruitment processes;
- the job opportunities they publish;
- the evaluation criteria they establish;
- their communications with Candidates;
- all hiring decisions.
Customers acknowledge that the analyses, recommendations, summaries and indicators generated by the Platform constitute decision-support tools only.
Customers undertake not to make any hiring decision based solely on the output generated by Artificial Intelligence.
29. OBO WORLD'S RESPONSIBILITY
Obo World is subject to a general obligation to exercise reasonable care and skill in the provision of its Services.
Obo World uses commercially reasonable efforts to ensure:
- the availability of the Services;
- the security of the Platform;
- compliance with applicable laws and regulations;
- the continuous improvement of its Services.
However, Obo World does not warrant that:
- any Candidate will obtain employment;
- any Customer will successfully recruit a Candidate;
- any recruitment process will lead to a successful outcome;
- the Services will satisfy the specific needs or expectations of every User.
The recommendations, summaries, analyses and other outputs generated by the Platform are intended solely to assist decision-making and shall never constitute decisions in themselves.
30. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Obo World shall not be liable for:
- indirect or consequential damages;
- loss of business;
- loss of revenue;
- loss of profit;
- loss of opportunity;
- loss of data attributable to Users;
- reputational damage;
- any consequences arising from improper or unauthorized use of the Services.
Obo World shall likewise not be liable for:
- failures affecting telecommunications networks;
- interruptions or failures attributable to third-party service providers;
- acts or omissions of Users;
- recruitment decisions made by Customers.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Obo World's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the total amounts actually paid by the relevant Customer for the affected Services during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This limitation shall not apply in cases of gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud or where such limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
31. SUSPENSION OF SERVICES
Obo World may immediately suspend all or part of the Services whenever it reasonably believes that such action is necessary to:
- preserve the security of the Platform;
- protect the data processed through the Services;
- prevent or stop fraudulent or unauthorized use;
- comply with a legal or regulatory obligation;
- protect the legitimate interests of Obo World, its Customers or its Users.
Where reasonably practicable, the affected User will be informed of the suspension and, where appropriate, of the conditions for restoring access to the Services.
32. TERMINATION
These Terms shall remain applicable for as long as the User accesses or uses the Website, the Platform or the Services.
Where a User Account is closed or deleted, certain information may be retained for the periods required by applicable law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend Obo World's legal rights.
The retention of personal data is further described in the Privacy Policy.
33. FORCE MAJEURE
Neither Party shall be liable for any delay or failure to perform its obligations where such delay or failure results from an event of force majeure or any other event beyond its reasonable control, as recognized under applicable law.
The affected obligations shall be suspended for the duration of the force majeure event.
34. AMENDMENTS TO THESE TERMS
Obo World may amend these Terms from time to time, including in order to:
- reflect changes in applicable laws or regulations;
- introduce new features or functionalities;
- improve the Services;
- enhance the security of the Platform.
The most recent version of these Terms will be published on the Website.
Where Users access Services requiring a User Account, material changes may also be communicated through the Platform or by electronic means.
35. ORDER OF PRECEDENCE
These Terms are supplemented by the following documents, where applicable:
- the Legal Notice;
- the Privacy Policy;
- the Cookie Policy;
- the Interview Participation Terms;
- the Responsible AI Governance Policy;
- any agreement concluded between Obo World and its Customers.
In the event of any inconsistency, the document specifically governing the relevant Service shall prevail.
36. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a competent court or authority, such provision shall be deemed severed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
37. LANGUAGE
These Terms have been originally drafted in French.
Translations may be provided for convenience only.
In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy between the French version and any translated version, the French version shall prevail, unless otherwise required by applicable mandatory law.
38. CONSUMER MEDIATION
Where required by applicable consumer protection laws, eligible Users acting as consumers may have the right to seek an amicable resolution of disputes through an approved consumer mediation body before initiating legal proceedings.
Details of the competent mediation body will be provided where required by applicable law.
39. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
40. JURISDICTION
Subject to any mandatory legal provisions to the contrary, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall fall within the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts having jurisdiction over Obo World's registered office.
